Elect Lady Michelle Roberts, Pastor
Pastor Elect Lady Michelle Roberts is the leading lady of Holy Spirit Cathedral in Camden, NJ. She serves in ministry Beside her husband, Bishop Joseph N. Roberts, Jr., Sr-Pastor. Elect Lady Roberts is an evangelist as well as a nurse with an anointing to heal the sick and broken-hearted. Her encouraging down-to-earth teaching imparts wisdom and instruction from the Word of God to all that hear. Elect Lady Michelle is the overseer of the Pastor's Aides, Women’s Ministry, Head of the Adminstrative Board and Board of Trustees. She and Bishop Roberts have four children – Joseph, Chantelle, Minister Nathaniel and Prophet Joel.

Pastor Roxanne Hawkins
Pastor Roxanne E. Hawkins a native of Camden, NJ, is the 3rd child of four siblings born to the union of Frederick and Gloria Hamilton. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1976, and later attended Camden County College. She is happily married to Michael Hawkins and they are the proud parents of two wonderful sons and one daughter.
On December 31, 1975, at the age of seventeen, she accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined Grace Temple Church in Philadelphia, PA. She faithfully served in various capacities at the church, and attended the Grace Temple Bible School in 1984, her Pastor, Bishop William B. Young licensed her as an Evangelist. In 1990 her Bishop ordained her as a Pastor and sent her out to Pastor Grace Temple Church of Woodbury.
Pastor Hawkins previously served under Pastor Lamont and Connie McLean of Living Faith Christian Center.
Pastor Hawkins is faithfully serving under the anointed leadership of Bishop Joseph Roberts Jr. of Holy Spirit Cathedral in Palmyra, NJ. Pastor Hawkins has committed herself to fulfilling the vision of her local church.
Her mission in life is to fulfill the purpose and destiny that God has placed before her. Her motto is,
“If I can help someone on my way, then my living will not be in vain.”
Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of prison and of the eyes to those who are bound.
Minister James Roberts
Associate Minister James Roberts, a servant of the Lord and the people, received Christ in his life at an early age. In his younger years, he attended Sanctuary Church of the Abiding Presence in Camden, New Jersey, where Bishop Evelyn Schonyers is pastor. Under her leadership, he was baptized at the age of seventeen. He now serves under the leadership of Bishop Joseph N. Roberts, Jr. at Holy Spirit Cathedral. Minister James is married to Elder Carleen Roberts. Their children - Diamond, James, Precious and Derrick - are all active in the body of Christ. Minister James currently serves on the Minister’s Board as deacon and overseer. Minister James is a faithful servant who is always willing to assist. He works in most of the church’s auxiliaries. He takes pleasure is living the scripture, “as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Minister Nathaniel Roberts
Youth Pastor Minister Nathaniel Roberts is a young man anointed and commissioned by God to spread the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ. He serves as overseer of the youth ministry, Fashioned for Greatness and Holy Spirit Cathedral Choir. Minister Nathaniel is truly a youth after God’s own heart, serving as one of Holy Spirit Cathedral’s most dynamic praise dancers and instructor. Minister Nathaniel graduated from Eastern University in May of 2014 with honors of Cum Laude and his Bachelors in Accountanting and Finance. He is married to Sadayah Roberts. We anticipate a lifetime full of God’s glory and exploits from this young Man of God.
Prophet Joel Roberts
Minister Joel Roberts is the youngest minister at Holy Spirit Cathedral, and is equipped with Holy Spirit power and zeal! Minister Joel serves as an example to all believers in the body of Christ, daily walking in the teachings of the Apostle Paul. Minister Joel exudes the words from 1 Timothy 4:14, “Do not neglect the spiritual gift you received through the prophecies spoken to you when the elders of the church laid their hands on you.” Minister Joel preaches, ministers on the choir and serves in the sound ministry. We are delighted to watch him continue to grow like Jesus – in wisdom and in stature, in favor with God and man!
Elder Carleen Roberts
Elder Carleen Roberts, servant of the Lord and the people, received Christ an early age. In her younger years, she attended The Holy Church in Pennsgrove, NJ, where Bishop Freddy Washington was the pastor. She served as an usher and member of the children’s choir. Elder Carleen moved to Camden at the age of 13, where she attended Community Baptist Church. Pastor Smith presided as pastor while Elder Carleen served as praise dance instructor and after-school program leader. She met her now husband, Minister James, and together they attended Sanctuary Church of the Abiding Presence. Under the pastoral leadership of Bishop Evelyn Schonyers, where she was baptized. She now serves under the leadership of Bishop Joseph Roberts, Jr. at Holy Spirit Cathedral. Elder Carleen currently serves on the Administration Team and Pastor’s Aide Ministry.
Elder Deneen Roberts
Joyce Deneen Roberts received the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior in the early 80’s. She was baptized and received the gift of the
Holy Ghost at The Camden Miracle Center; The late Rev. Allen Byrd; pastor, there she served as an usher, devotional leader, member of the choir and Missionary board.
Elder Deneen Roberts is now a member of Holy Spirit Cathedral Church; Bishop Joseph Roberts Jr. pastor, she serves on the board of administration, Chairlady of the Women’s Dept., usher board, and event coordinator.
Elder Deneen has a passion for serving God and his people, always willing to give a helping hand when she can. Elder Deneen is a resign school teacher and has worked with children for over 18yrs. She enjoys being creative and can take anything and turn it into something. Proverbs 31:31 Give her of the fruits of her hands; and let her works praise her in the gates.
Elder Rob Cubbage
Elder Rob Cubbage was raised in Camden, NJ. He was educated in Camden and Pennsauken. He accepted Christ at the age of thirteen and fully submitted his life to living for God at twenty-six. He received greater wisdom and revelation as he wholly committed himself to God. While attending Sanctuary of the Abiding Presence, he married Lucy Cubbage. They have five beautiful children. Through his journey of spiritual growth, God prepared him for his current leading of the outreach ministry at Holy Spirit Cathedral. His favorite scripture is Psalms 27:13-14, “I had fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
Elder Lucy Cubbage
Elder Lucy Cubbage accepted Christ at an early age while attending The Miracle Circle Center church on Broadway in Camden, NJ. During her early teens, her family cast their lots under the pastoral leadership of Bishop Evelyn Schonyers. She began in the ministry of music, serving on the choir and praise and worship team. She married her husband, Elder Rob Cubbage, under the same leadership. She is now diligently working under Bishop Joseph Roberts as a servant leader at Holy Spirit Cathedral. She is the superintendent of the Sunday School, while she serves in the drama and praise dance ministries, the choir and praise and worship team.
Elder Lawrence C. Carpenter
Lawrence C. Carpenter is part of the Music Ministry at Holy Spirit Cathedral. He is a loving and devoted husband to Elder Ashle, and a father to Josiah and Zipporah. While under the tutelage of Bishop Roberts, brother Carpenter has grown to have a deeper level of revelation of who God is and what He expects from leaders in the body of Christ. It is his earnest desire to accomplish the ultimate assignment and the will of God for his life.
His favorite scripture is Genesis 1:26, “And God said, ‘Let us make man in Our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…over all the earth.’”
Elder Ashle R. Carpenter
Ashle is the Minister of Music and a praise and worship leader. She is a loving and devoted wife to brother L. C. Carpenter and mother to Josiah and Zipporah. Elder Ashle is a full-time caregiver to her Family and a master hair dresser and cosmotoligist. It has always been her heart’s greatest desire to have a close-knit family held together with the love and peace of God. Elder Carpenter is a great woman of faith. She has come through every hard place in her life, solely on the Word of God. Fittingly so, her favorite scriptures come from James 2:18, “I will show you my faith by my works.” And Romans 10:17, “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” In a nutshell, her outlook on life is, “If God said it, I believe it and that settles it.
